ALMANACKS
The University holds nearly 2,500 almanacs from the 18th through the 20th centuries. Instead of cataloging them all, it was decided the best preliminary method of making them available to the public was to create a website, listing our holdings by title. Additional information is included such as publisher, year, and the region for which the almanac was intended if available. A brief explanation of the ten categories is available. The information was input as it appeared in the almanac; if the information did not appear, no assumptions were made and the category was left blank. There are two ways to search the almanacs. One is to go to the alphabetical listings, the other is by using the online Search Page. If you are interested in the value of an almanac, you can visit http://www.bookfinder.com.
