Two feature stories are the only items on this tape.  No date is given.  The date is probably 1982 as that was the year that the subject of the first feature story was graduated from the University of Florida.

Originally produced on ¾” u-matic.  Reformatted to Betacam SP in 2003 and MPEG-2 in 2005.

A feature about Norma Jean Jackson who, according to a computer generated number is the one-hundred and fifty thousandth student to graduate from the University of Florida.  Jackson is an undergraduate pharmacy student who has interned at the VA Hospital and is currently interning at Tampa General Hospital.  The last scene shows her walking toward Century Tower on campus.

Dr. Charles Wallace, a civil engineer at UF, is working with a computer to synchronize traffic light signals.  The name of the study is TRANSIT – 7F.  If successful then stops can be minimized which will result in conserving gas.  The study is funded by a grant from the Federal Highway Administration.  Harry Burns, traffic engineer, talks briefly.
