See Update Further Below REPORT: 2/18/2008 The new version of Apple Safari crashes in LexisNexis Academic. Lexis-Nexis has tested and confirmed the problem. It seems to be related to the search results display. The crash occurs after a search has been submitted, while the result screen is loading. LexisNexis is working to resolve the problem, but it is proving very challenging. The latest version of Safari seems to be crashing on a lot of websites. For background on this, please go to http://discussions.apple.com and search on: safari crash. In the meantime, the best work-around is for McIntosh users to use Firefox with LexisNexis. =================== UPDATE: April 24, 2008 =================== Lexis-Nexis sent the following message: Apple has released two software updates that correct the problem. For users of OS 10.5: a March 2008 update to the OS 10.5.x operating system includes a Safari upgrade. For users of OS 10.4: there is a Safari 3.1 update released earlier in April. You can find the updates at http://www.apple.com/downloads/ or by using the Software Update feature on your Mac. |
