Biographical/Historical Note
Henry C. Noegel ran the post office in Ellaville, Florida, and established the Camp Suwannee campgrounds in the 1920s.
Scope and Content
Correspondence, photographs, news clippings and other papers related to the Noegel family and the history of Ellaville, Florida. There are numerous love letters between Pearl and Henry C. Noegel. There are also several miscellaneous documents such as recipes, a tax return, an Ellaville property deed and notes. The papers cover many topics, including tourism, the lumber industry, the Camp Suwannee campgrounds, and Madison County. Among the historical materials is a copy of "Yesterday in Old Columbus" by Chothilde O'Hara Mainer.
