Biographical/Historical Note
After serving in the Confederate Army, Frances Eppes Harris founded the Ocala Banner newspaper in 1866. He served as the owner and editor of that publication for 62 years. His daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Harris (later Sarah H. Lloyd, of Jacksonville), became the society and local editor of the Banner around the turn of the century.
Scope and Content
This scrapbook contains numerous news clippings and photographs that Sarah Harris compiled from 1905-1912.
