Forester and logging engineer. Born in Maine; educated at Bowdoin College; Assitant Professor of Forestry, Harvard College, 1905-1909; Superintendent of State Parks, New York, 1909-1910; Logging Engineer, U.S. Forests Service, 1919-1935.

Papers and photographs relating to forestry, naval stores, and the turpentine industry.
