I. Manuscripts (Alden Hatch)

1)    The Hatches, by Alden Hatch. 356 leaves. "Alden Hatch was writing this family history/autobiography when he died on Feb. 1, 1975. This is the original typescript, - Allene Gaty Hatch, Sept. 10, '02"

2)    [Alden's Autobiography] A.Ms. notes. 27 p. in pencil. Beginning with the "Spanish War," and ending with Hollywood.

II. Allene Hatch - Diaries

3)    Book calendar for 1952. "Alden Hatch" stamped on cover. Contains appointment from Jan. 1-June 27th; July 30 ff contains Allene's notes for trip to Denver to visit the Eisenhower campaign headquarters. Also, a "Denver - Diary" on loose-leaf paper, 4 a.ms. leaves.

4)    Allene Hatch's Diary of trip to Rome for the Clare Booth Luce Book, Oct. 9-Dec. 17, 1954.

5)    Hatch, Allene. Name Dropping Diary from Bobby Baker Land. A.Ms., re trip to interview Eisenhower for Mountbatten book. 1 p. Published in Barrytown Explorer(?)

6)    Agreement between Mrs. Krishna Nehru Hutheesing and Alden Hatch for the purpose of writing a book tentatively entitled The Nehru Family. Typed D.S., Krishna Nehru Hutheesing, Feb. 12, 1966, and Alden Hatch, Feb. 15,1966.

7)    Bernhard, Prince of the Netherlands. 4 New Years card. 1965 card contains an unidentified photograph. A fifth card is signed Kossie Gilles [Prince Bernhard's secretary]

8)    Denver Country Club. Printed document extending privileges of the club to Alden Hatch for 2 weeks; /s/ B. White, Secretary, August 1, 1952. 

9)    Domhoff, L. Th. (H.J.W. Becht). TL (carbon) to Alden Hatch. Amsterdam, Jan. 31, 1961. Comments on Hatch's biography of DeGaulle and suggests that he is the right author to write the biography of Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands.

Includes photo of AGH, 1946, 1949 photo of Alden and Allene, and clippings, photos, and some letters to 1958, including clippings of the marriage of Dennison Hatch and Barbara Florio. Letters are from Clare Booth Luce, Helen Hayes, and others.
