Biographical/Historical Note
Morton Grosser is a scientist, engineer, and venture capitalist. He was born in 1942, and received two engineering degrees from MIT and his Ph.D. from Stanford.
Scope and Content
Typescript manuscript of Morton Grosser's book, Gossamer Odyssey: The Triumph of Human Flight, which was published by Houghton-Mifflin in 1983. There are 389 numbered pages followed by a 9-page appendix which includes a reprint for an October 1978 brochure for a competition for a man powered flight from England to France sponsored by the Royal Aeronautical Society, and an 8 page bibliography. No corrections appear on this undated typescript.
