Correspondence - Faustin E. Wirkus, 1931-1940.
Wirkus was a United States marine who became known as the "White King of La Gonave," a Haitian island. He authored a book of that name (Garden City: Doubleday, 1932). A scrapbook in the Crumbie Papers relates largely to him.

Correspondence - Selden Rodman, 1954-1955.

1954 September 23 Dingman's Ferry, PA	Crumbie, Frank R. Jr. TL (copy), Oakland, NJ. 2 p. Differing opinions than those in Rodman's book, Haiti. In general, praises it, but, based on personal experience, Crumbie disagrees with certain passages, particularly one which is critical of U.S. Marine actions.
