Biographical/Historical Note

Ralph Bradford was a lecturer, writer, and business organization consultant. His writings included poetry, fiction, and socio-economic essays. At the time that he contributed his manuscripts to the University of Florida Libraries (1974-78), he lived in Ocala, Florida.

Scope and Content

Includes autograph and typed manuscripts, galley proofs, and published copies of writing by Ralph Bradford. One folder of correspondence relates to a writing called "The Purple Robe." The manuscripts of most of the earlier writing are fair copies made in 1974 for presentation to the University of Florida Libraries. The earlier writings consist primarily of poems and other privately printed literature from the nineteen thirties. The later writings are articles published in The Freeman (1974-78), a libertarian publication of the Foundation for Economic Education (Irving-on-Hudson, NY). Bradford included "presentation notes" with many of the manuscripts.
