Series 6: Original Accession Addendum (1997)

This Addendum (boxes 2-8) are additional papers which were donated in 1997. There is no Box 1 for this series. Additional papers were received from Mary Elmendorf in July 1997. Major contents include the marked and annotated copies of some of the publications included by John Landgraf and she in their 1984 and 1986 bibliographies on Women /Irrigation /Drinking Water / Sanitation and Their Interrelationships, papers from a renewable energy project in Thailand, 1981-1982, additional International Drinking Water and Sanitation Supply Decade (IDWSSD), and some general papers. The general papers include items relating to the Secours Quakers, the American Friends Service Committee, and the Peace Corps, and are among the earliest items found in any of the papers.

Rural Renewable Energy Project, Thailand, 1981-1982

Elmendorf participated as part of a META Systems (USAID) project on Rural Renewable Energy to help design a survey for the National Energy Administration of Thailand. The papers includes some memoranda and notes regarding the project, drafts of related papers she prepared with her husband, John Landgraf, a set of META documents, and other publications relating to renewable energy. The papers she and Landgraf prepared include a background report on community woodlots in Thailand and a field survey of forest projects related to renewable energy in Sabah, Malaysia, and Thailand.
