"Water is Life: A View Through the Eyes of Women," an invited review paper was presented at the International Women's University (IFU), Hannover, Germany, August 2000. Conference and Society participation

Includes material pertaining to conferences and society meetings in which ME participated. Habitat II (United Nations Conference on Human Settlements), known as the City Summit, was held in Istanbul, Turkey, in June, 1996. Prior to this, Habitat II Town Hall Meetings were held in twelve cities across the U.S., including Sarasota. Elmendorf participated as a member of the Planning Committee and as a participant in the meeting. The records for this event include her panel presentation on "Quality of Life" and a report, "From Beijing Back and on to Istanbul."
