Record Group IV, Series 95

Francisco Sugar Company.
    Financial records, 1899-1967
3.25 linear ft. (5 boxes and 10 vols.)

This series is comprised of miscellaneous financial records of the main offices of the Francisco Sugar Company, and of the firm's various divisions (such as Central Elia) and subdivisions (such as the various colonias owned and/or controlled by the company).  Also included are the company's published annual reports, 1920-1967.
Much of this material is related to corporate taxation.  Also included are auditor's reports, rental and loan contracts, and the reorganization papers from the 1936 recuperation of the firm from court-appointed receivers.  Documents from the late 1950s and early 1960s reveal the company's financial condition on the eve of the revolution and during the early years of revolutionary government control.  Documents from the early and mid 1960s provide information regarding seized company assets and stockholders' and former colonos' claims against the revolutionary government.
