Series P17 of the University of Florida Archives Presidential Collections contains nominee files of the search committee that culminated in the selection of John V. Lombardi as the ninth president of the University of Florida. Also included in the series are videotapes of the presentations given by the five finalists for the position.
These records were transferred to the Archives from the University of Florida Libraries Reserve Desk. The files and tapes were placed at the Reserve Desk for use by the general public. These are not the original records of the committee.
The files may include nomination letters, letters of acceptance or declination from the nominee, letters of support, resumes and curriculum vitae, and other pertinent material.
