Scope and Content
Series 96 contains the meeting minutes of the Florida Cooperative Extension Service staff for 1946-1957. Faculty members, including among others A. P. Spencer, Director for the Agricultural Extension Service, and M. O. Watkins, Assistant Director (later, in 1967, Dean of Extension), convened quarterly (January, April, July, and October) at Newell Hall to assign administrative duties and establish extension policy in an organized, collective fashion. This series provides a window on the debate regarding Extension Service activities and how staff members responded to changing circumstances in the field of agriculture.
