Scope and Content
Series 89 contains correspondence between Florida's Board of Control (predecessor to the Board of Regents) and the Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station at the University of Florida in Gainesville. During its early years, the Board of Control communicated directly with the head of the Station on matters related to the operations of the Station, agricultural extension work, and the Farmers Institutes. After the mid 1930s, contact between the Board and the Station Director was limited to routine budget review.
