Subseries 47a - Administrative Policy Records of the School of Journalism Office of the Director, 1949-1968 1.3 linear ft. (3 boxes)

The School of Journalism was created in 1949 and its first and only director was Rae O. Weimer. In 1968, the School became the College of Journalism and Communication. Weimer served briefly as Dean of the new college and then retired. Subseries 47a contains the existing correspondence files of Rae Weimer. Also included are two pieces by Weimer written while he was an editor for the Beacon Journal of Akron, Ohio.
