Scope and Content
Series 39 consists of a roll book for the 1929-1930 Southern Intercollegiate Championship boxing team. This team was the first University of Florida sports team to win a SIC championship. John Piombo, a trainer for world heavyweight champs Jim Jeffries and Jess Willard, coached the team.
The roll book is inscribed "kept by Myron C. Prevatt of Kappa Sigma House" and includes attendance records, weights, and hometowns of each team member.
