Series 114 contains authorizations passed by the University of Florida Student Senate and its predecessor, the Legislative Council
This series forms part of the Student Government Legislative Archives as codified in Chapter 300.4/B of the Constitution of statutes of the University of Florida Student Body which states that "All authorizations shall be entitled Student Body Authorizations and be designated in the same manner as laws. For example, Student Body Authorization 70-129 would be the 30th authorization enacted in the calendar year 1970." With rare exception, an Authorization is an enactment to spend unallocated funds by special request.
