William Graves Carleton Papers.
Scrapbooks and clippings,
1918-1979.
1 linear ft. (1 box
and 7 volumes)
1 microfilm reel.
This is the third series
in the William Graves Carleton Papers and consists of seven scrapbooks,
memorabilia, and assorted newspaper clippings related to Carleton's life.
The first scrapbook reads "volume II" (an earlier scrapbook is missing),
but for cataloging purposes is listed here as Volume 1. The scrapbooks
contain newspaper clippings, memorabilia, and photographs. They are
an excellent record of Carleton's numerous speaking engagements from 1918
through mid-1948. Carleton annotated the scrapbooks sometime in his
life, and the annotations provide insights to the events chronicled in
the clippings. The scrapbooks have been microfilmed for patron use.
The clippings supplement the scrapbooks and have been photocopied.
Microfilm: 35 mm. 1
reel. Positive.
