Biographical/Historical Note

John Belling was a botanist at the Florida Agricultural Experiment Station in the early twentieth century.


Scope and Content

The collection consists almost exclusively of letters received by Belling. The letters concern his work in plant hybridization, but also include inquiries from farmers and citrus grove operators as well as requests from individuals for plant identification.
