Biographical/Historical Note

Originally named the University Club, the Faculty Club was a social organization for all faculty at the University of Florida, the object of which was to promote science, literature and art. Most of the extant records concern the operation of the Rathskellar in Johnson Hall and the unsuccessful plans to build a club house for the organization.


Scope and Content

Records include club constitution, minutes, chronologically-arranged presidents' correspondence, membership lists, and files on the operation of the Rathskellar and the attempt to build a club house.
