Biographical/Historical Note
Originally known as the John Marshall Debating Society, the John Marshall Bar Association is today the student bar association affiliated with the Law Student Division of the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar.
Scope and Content
The collection contains mimeographed JMBA publications, both official and unofficial. The titles include The Shuffle (1953-56), The Dicta (1953), What's in a Name? (1953), and The John Marshall Bar Association Bulletin (1965-1966). Also included are two scripts for JMBA homecoming skits, programs for the spring Barrister's Brawl and homecoming celebrations, a 1972 JMBA position paper on the University's conversion to a quarter-based academic calendar, and other miscellaneous documents.
