Biographical/Historical Note
John William DeBruyn was a music instructor at the University of Florida. He was responsible for organizing the Glee Club and served as director of the club from 1926 to 1948.
Scope and Content
This collection consists of various types of instructional materials, including exercises for singing and voice control, syllabi, and instructional placards. Also included are memorabilia related to Glee Club activity, letters related to musicology research, and various writings on singing methods, voice, and "psychological singing."
