Biographical/Historical Note

Religion-in-Life Week was an annual lecture event sponsored by the University Religious Association (formerly the Student Religious Association) and the Department of Religion "to discuss the questions, problems, and challenges of religious and modern life." Each Religion-in-Life Week was organized around a particular theme and several speakers would be invited. Week events also included films, receptions, seminars, and dormitory student discussions. Religion-in-Life Week was apparently an outgrowth of Religious Emphasis Week.

Scope and Content

This collection contains a file on speakers who attended the events. Most folders contain correspondence (invitations, negotiations, travel arrangements, etc.) with the speakers, but some copies of the keynote addresses and convocations have survived. Titles of the existing speeches are included in the folder list. The series also includes a few of the annual reports and evaluations of the events by participants.
