Scope and Content
Manuscript Collection 109 consists of records from the Tau Alpha chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi at the University of Florida, a Greek letter society rooted in the Jewish student population. The papers consist of files pertaining to the fraternity's sale of property, acquisition and bids for the replacement site, and renovation and repair bids. Files date from 1957 through 1995. The documents illustrate overall business management of TEP members through correspondence and minutes of official chapter meetings. The weekly chapter meetings from 1930 to 1956 are listed in journal form. A box of TEP files from the 1950s and 1960s were found in the Samuel Proctor Collection and added to this collection in 2006. This box also contains a number of TEP publications.
