Summary:  R. Hillbom, artist.   A portrait of a standing man who faces to the left.  His upper body is shown.  Attention is centered on his face by the use of lighter flesh tones and the device of a large white collar on his shirt.  An ornate gold colored frame is used.

indios e Caboclos – 1990

Summary:  a poster produced for an exhibit at the Grinter Gallery from Nov. 9-Dec. 14, 1990 showing selected photographic prints from the Charles Wagley Collection.  The Exhibit went on tour for three years with the final one at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.  The 1940 photo reproduced on the poster generated a lot of publicity because of the nudity of one of the two Indian men pictured.
