LIBRARY INSTRUCTION STATISTICS

Library staff provide library instruction sessions to groups that range from orientations for campus newcomers to in-depth training on information resources that relate to a specific class. The 1999 statistical summaries report 228 sessions reaching 3,257 people in the Spring Term, 103 sessions reaching 2,145 people during Summer A and B, and 435 sessions reaching 8,059 people Fall Term, for a 1999 total of 766 sessions reaching 13,461 people.  This is equivalent to the contact hours of more than fifteen (15) 3-credit courses!

If you are a faculty member who has used the Libraries' website http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/ at least once, we would like to hear from you.  We are gathering usability feedback from all groups on campus to make the website as easy to use as possible.  Please plan to attend and tell us what you like and don't like about the library web pages.  The Smathers Libraries Web Design and Policy group will incorporate the results in our redesign of the site.  If you have questions or comments, please feel free to email Jana Ronan at ronan@mail.uflib.ufl.edu or send them to Ms. Ronan at PO Box 117001.
