A Team Meeting minutes:

Attendees:

Bobby Parker,  Kendra Carter,  Carol Whitmer.  John Seay,  Daniel Holt,  Judy Rummel,  Doug Kiker,  Rod Uecker,  Michele Wilbanks-Fox,  Cathy Mook,  Priscilla West

Highlights: 

1. Picked name, wanted something up beat but serious that showed how hard we expect this group to work.  Picked “A Team”.  Very cool, thanks Bobby!
2. Sort of picked meeting schedule.  On a very flexible basis, we will meet the second Thursday of every third month at 2pm.  The next meeting will be on September 12^th at 2pm.  Since meetings are so infrequent, attendees should always bring calendars to every meeting to confirm subsequent meeting time.
3. Add Carol King and Charlotte Jordan Porter as members.
4. Much discussion on back orders/claiming, specifically touching on policies at the branches, the new pilot program for LW back orders, action dates at 2 months versus 6 months, etc.
5. Doug talked about his ALA experience including electronic serials, his meetings with vendors, changes in Data Swets Connect, etc.
6. Cathy mentioned that she was unable to attend any binding meetings in Atlanta due to her other commitments.
7. Bobby mentioned that he will be touring the bindery in the late summer.  Please send him any examples of any problems.
8. Flexible meeting structure over time.  After new LMS and new building are done, might go back to separate LBC and Serials operations, who knows…
9. Went over reason for change from separate Serials and Binding meetings to one large group (new LMS and New building)

12. Co-chaired between Preservation and RS.  Please send possible agenda topics to Cathy, Bobby or Doug.  There will be a new web page with links to old LBC and Serials OP page.  New fresh group deserves new fresh web page!
13. Talked about test loads of 100,000 records in the Fall, possible training schedule, etc.
14. ExLibris has an interface with ABLE.  Binding tickets could be produced without re-keying the information.  Will be looking at ABLE again and probably switching if the new LMS process goes smoothly.
