Joint A Team and P.I.G. meeting

Held April 17th, 2003  from 2 p.m. to 4p.m.

Library East Conference Room

Attendees:  Robert Parker, Cathleen Mook, Doug Kiker, Dee Hawes, Jason Flemming, Daniel Holt, David Hickey, John Seay, Priscilla West, Raimonda Margjoni, Janet Williams, Charlotte Porter, Judy Rummel, Carol Whitmer, Michele Wilbanks-Fox, Emily Madden, Jean Bostwick, Roberto Barrios, Kendra Carter, Janet Hernberger, Justino Llanque-Chana, Paula Tarrant.

1. Doug gave a walkthrough of the ALEPH serials module, while Cathy Mook gave a presentation of binding and circulation in the serials module, items module and the circulation module.

2. Doug mentioned that Carol King is /had retired and he will be taking over backorders.

3. The group discussed terminology of backorders / re-ordering. If we are trying to purchase a missing issue, we need to request a "replacement." These should be requested through Doug or Judy. A replacement issue can cost no more than $50, unless approved by the selector. Check-in should be through Judy only.

4. Binding personnel stayed behind for a brief discussion regarding how we will handle corrections that need to be returned to the bindery. It was decided that corrections, when they are discovered, should be routed to Bobby if they need to be returned with a note describing the problem. In house corrections should be routed through Bobby to Conservation for repair.
