October Statistics--Filming
42 reels of film were produced in October, which equaled approximately 40  volumes.  Cathy will mention in her final report that volume count is not a good measure of the amount filmed, and that image count would probably be a better measure of productivity.  Over 1,140 volumes have been filmed by Preservation staff, and 329 volumes have been filmed by the independent filming agent, for a grand total of 1,476.  This leaves a remaining 273 volumes that must be filmed in the months of November and December to complete the requirements of the grant.

October Statistics--Cataloguing
Susan has approximately 12 monographs that will definitely be catalogued by the end of the year.  Daniel reported that most of the monographs and serials that are currently upstairs already have some level of cataloguing work done.  The records are just not up to Conser and AACR2 standards, and will need to be upgraded.

Other Topics of Discussion
Cathy forgot to add the September Cataloguing statistics to the website; she will do so ASAP.  Daniel took all of the Lake Alfred donations back.  Cathy has not seen any budget reports lately, but will make a report at the next meeting after receiving one.  Regarding, ILL of materials for grants, Cathy will mention in her final report that ILL is rather unsuccessful, given the amount of time needed to catalogue, the difficulty arranging a filming schedule around materials that are apt to show up at any time, and the short loan period of most ILL materials.

Respectfully Submitted,
Victoria Naipavel
