*If one of these categories comes with a CD, please follow Resource Services procedures for monographs and serials. Place paper document on Binding Shelf, while placing CD on appropriate CD processing shelf. The paper document and CD do NOT need to stay together.
**Please add a purple slip to those items with errata as well. If the item contained a CD, please add "Pt. X of X" to the top of the purple slip to alert Preservation staff to existence of CD.
When an item in one of the above 7 categories is a RUSH item, do NOT place it on the binding shelf. Use a piggyback barcode, make a label for the item, and send it to the proper owning location ASAP. Rush items that do not fall within these categories requiring immediate Preservation attention should be brought directly to Preservation staff for review.
Occasionally, one of these items will arrive back in Processing with a note attached. The note will say that the item will not be bound at this time and to please make a call number (spine) label for it. Please make a label for the book and route it back to its owning location.
NOTE: This policy does not apply to theses, dissertations and special projects.
