Stack Maintenance Manual

Stack Maintenance students are integral to the overall function of the Marston Science Library. Serving the needs of over 1,150 faculty in 42 academic departments, the collection consists of 533,712 volumes; 1,230,048 microforms; and 200,000 documents. It is the responsibility of Stack Maintenance to make sure materials are properly shelved, call numbers are in order, and that new services and projects are planned and implemented on a timely basis. Many of the duties of the stack maintenance employee require an understanding of work flow, adherence to standards, and attention to detail.
