TRADEMARKS provide protection for a word or group of words, logos or symbols, shape of a container or packaging, color, sound, or scent which is used in interstate commerce to identify a product, to distinguish the product from others, or to indicate the sources of the product. SERVICE MARKS are used to identify services rather than products and are designeated as such by the Trademark Office.
