This is the search engine for the Miscellaneous Manuscripts Collection.  It will not retrieve information on major manuscript holdings.  Those collections are described in the Florida History Index to Major Manuscripts .

The most successful way to search this database is to keep your requests short and simple.  Boolean searches are possible.  For example, if you fill in the three boxes on the search engine so that they read:  "Civil War," "and," "Letter," "or," " Correspondence" you will obtain all the Civil War letter collections in the database.
