Announcements

1. Egolf Collection Exhibit Reception - Sunday, Jan 8 3-5PM Grand Reading Room.
2. Web Developer position closing January 9.
3. Professional development conversation with Rachel Schipper - to be scheduled soon. 15-20 minute individual meetings.

Ongoing IT Updates

Hardware

1. App Streaming - packaging Adobe X, Captivate & Contribute.
2. West laptop cart - waiting for CNS to configure the switch.
3. MSL laptop cart - switch order in progress.
4. Migration - completing migration reports for all departments.
5. VDI - discussing next step in pilot with AT.
6. PGP - sticking with BitLocker.
7. 24/5 Library West starts next Monday. Maintenance window to switch to Saturday night.

Software

1. Kuali OLE - Chris Case is out this week. Did not meet over break. Meeting scheduled at the end of February.
2. Print Journal Inventory Tracker - Chris Nicolich is working on it. First phase is done. When Chris returns, he will start on phase two.
3. ASERL Gap Analysis - Shruti passed on all info to Tom and Winston.
4. Circulation switch to "Library Guest" accounts - still have an issue with PeopleSoft populating the correct group in AD.
5. Macros - handful active.
6. ARES-Sakai authentication - Paul McDonough wants to retain old account info - working on it.
7. Broadcast to Public Computers tool - looking into making it standalone.
8. Create Shib wrapper around an HSCL eBook - done.

Network/Server Administration

1. VDI - need to test now that hardware is in place.
2. New web infrastructure has been set up and is in place.
3. Budget for new server for security cameras in East and West has been approved.
4. ILS - no news.
5. VIVO - no longer our responsibility.

Web & Digital

1. ALF/Storage website update (in process)
2. LAC website update (beginning)
3. IIS/Web folders cleanup (in process) - Web server upgrade/reconfiguration.
4. Records Management migration
5. Panama Canal Museum - wall of honor migration (on hold)
6. DLC Projects - FCLA implementation of SobekCM
7. New version of open-source SobekCM METS Editor released
8. New version of open-source SobekCM Web App being released
9. DLC-to-Hathi Trust format and workflow tools (on hold)
