- Chris finished painting and moved into the new house this weekend.
- Winston and Amy have joined the 'Save the Gator' foundation - no luck alligator hunting.
- Amy's husband got a 6-point deer with a bow on opening day.
- Geoffrey was offered a better position with Housing and has accepted. His last day will be Thursday, October 5th. We will do lunch before his departure at Saigon Legend.
- Merit and across-the-board raise announcement letters should come out this week.
- Library West artwork to be unveiled October 20.
Ongoing Systems Updates
- Update to UFDC - it is back online and running, but it needs an update. Hopefully, it will reboot afterwards.
Equipment Received/Installed/RepairedLiaisons
- Orders - nothing new.
Networking
- Amy did some training in LAC - stepping through and documenting public set-up.
- Jay Wiese - sent in a perfect, concise trouble ticket, complete with diagnostics.
Software Projects Status
- Public workstation failover - test date October 11. It will be announced. Will be around 7-7:30AM.
- Xerox server - still down. A rep brought a new server, but it had a single drive which failed at start-up. They sent a new drive plus two more for raid configuration. In the meantime, the old box is still up and restarting.
- Ying's replacement delayed - problems in hiring.
- Training database - demoed to Trudi - she is happy with it. Will do beta testing with HR.
- Geoffrey and Winston will look at the update procedures for UFDC.
