- Will is out sick; Bill Covey is presiding over this meeting.
- Spring Break this week - student are out - please answer the phones if you hear them ringing.
- Ongoing carpet issue: seems that UF regulations require that if they pull a carpet up from an asbestos floor, the asbestos tiles have to be removed in order to install a new carpet. Needless to say, that would cause quite a bit of disruption to the office. It wouldn't happen until June - when people should be moving back to West - in which case we could locate to vacated areas temporarily if necessary. Obviously we'd still have to access the servers.
Per Bill, this is our last chance to get this done - at least until another Director is in place and who knows what they'd want to do.
General consensus is 'Yes' - let's go ahead and do this while we have the chance.
Rob Roberts is supposed to be nailing down the details involved in the tile removal so we can get a better time estimate and then when it is closer getting underway we can figure out the logistics of housing Systems staff.
- No new servers on order. We're actually considering bumping four: two ILLIAD and two Docutek. They'd prefer those servers to be hosted by the vendors on the Internet.
