Setting up the new Optiplex 745 for staff

1.     Once you have the machine out of the box and setup on the desk, power it on.

2.     You will be prompted for the computer name and administrator password

3.     Enter the Workstation ID from the sticker provided by Systems

4.     Enter your departmental administrator password

5.     Click Next

6.     Windows will “Perform Final Tasks” and reboot automatically

7.     Login as Administrator using the password you set in step 4.

8.     Set the IP Address and DNS.

9.     Set the WINS address.

10.                        Join the Domain.

11.                         Add User Groups.

12.                         Install McAfee Anti-Virus

13.                         Complete the Equipment Moves form.
