Turn off the Windows Firewall

1. Open Control Panel, and click Security Center.
2.  Scroll to the bottom.
3. Click "Windows Firewall" under Manage Security Settings for: 
4. Select the "Off (not recommended)" radio button. 
   
   
   
   
5. Click OK.
6. In the left-hand pane, select "Change the way Security Center alerts me". 
7. Uncheck all three options. 
   
   
   
8. Click Ok.
9. Close Security Center.

Disable Windows Firewall/ICS

1. Open Control Panel
2. Click Performance and Maintenance
3. Click Administrative Tools
   
4. Click Services
   
5. Double click "Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) Client".
   
   
   
   
6. Select "Disabled" in the drop-down next to "Startup type". 
7. Click "Stop".
   
   
   
   
8. Click Ok.
