• Research assistance is available in person at each library or by appointment, and by telephone, email and Ask a Librarian IM (instant messaging).
  
  
• Instruction is provided in general library instruction classes and through course-specific library sessions developed by instructional librarians. Individual instruction and assistance is also available at all locations.
  
  
• Orientation programs are introduce library services and resources. Schedules are posted in each library at the beginning of every term.

• Special services for users with disabilities are provided to assist physically challenged patrons in their use of the collections.

The UF Libraries' Research Gateway

Research Gateway is a new library service providing users the ability to search across more than one database at the same time from a single interface.

Other features include:

• Search the UF library catalog as well as the catalogs of other Florida state universities
• Selecting individual databases to search
• Selecting electronic journals
• Personalization tools enabling users to save and store lists of favorite databases, e-journal links, and search queries
