Research Biography
As Head of the University of Florida’s Education Library I am responsible for the development and supervision of staff, and the implementation of policies, services, and programs. I evaluate and select both research and instructional materials in support of the 5 academic departments and over 100 faculty in this nationally ranked College of Education. I regularly teach library research and literacy classes for undergraduate and graduate students. As a member of library management committees and task forces I help to resolve problems and issues affecting all nine libraries on this large campus.
My research interests cover three main areas: the writing and testing of instructional programs and guides, both print and electronic, that explain the organization and use of specialized publications and databases; the development of outreach programs which lead to the promotion and use of the university libraries and it’s collections including outreach efforts to international groups of students and faculty.
