Journal cannot be found on the shelf.

Check the catalog record for item location.
If the location reads Science Library, the item is ctaloged as a monograph and shelved with the books.
If the location reads Science Library Periodicals, the item may be missing. Send patron upstairs to Science Circulation.
If the item is a journal 1990 or later, it will be on the 3rd floor.
