Caribbean Newspaper Digitization Library (CNDL)

We are in the process of developing our current Caribbean newspaper digitization queue, building on the past microfilming efforts, and continuing to serve current and future preservation and access needs. Information is also available on the earlier history of the Caribbean Newspaper Imaging Project, including the microfilming queue.

In developing the pilot project and plan for the Caribbean Newspaper Digitization Library, permissions to digitize a number of Caribbean newspapers was been granted by the publishers and copyright owners. Even at this early stage, many new copyright owners have already granted permissions. Those granting permissions are listed below, but this list regularly falls out of date so please see the Caribbean Newspaper Digitization Library for all of the materials included.
