WARNING CONCERNING COPYRIGHT RESTRICTIONS

Please be aware that many of the resources you find on the Internet are copyright protected. The U.S. Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §§101-801, gives the owner of the copyright the exclusive right to reproduce, distribute, sell, perform or publicly display the copyrighted work. You may use all or part of a copyrighted work only if you have the copyright owner's permission or your use falls under a legal exemption. Although the Internet is a different medium than printed text, ownership and intellectual property rights still exist. Check the documents you are viewing for appropriate statements indicating copyright ownership and what the person or entity holding those rights is asserting. Remember, it is your responsibility to respect these rights including all copyrights.

The UF Libraries is developing a Copyright Web Site to assist faculty, staff and students with copyright questions and to build an understanding of copyright issues as they affect the academic community.
