HOLIDAY PARTY EVENTS / ACTIVITIES:
Potluck: Meats and beverages will be provided. We'll continue the tradition of sharing food, so please sign up with the food or beverage you plan to bring. Impress your co-workers with a favorite dish from your own holiday tradition. Sign up
White Elephant Gift Exchange: Wrap up something you don’t want, but think someone else might enjoy. Bring it to the party to exchange in this holiday game. The game will begin at 1:30 pm.
"Green" Holiday Centerpiece Contest: Enter using recycled materials – as an individual, group or department. Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place, voted on by those in attendance at the party. Please sign up online if you plan to enter. Sign up
Make "Green" Holiday Decorations: Recycled supplies and instructions for decorations will be set up Monday, Nov. 26 through Friday, Nov. 30 in room 522 of Library West and the MSL lounge on the first floor. Stop by and make some decorations that will be used at the party.
Food Donation Drive: We will collect food donations for Catholic Charities. Donation boxes will be located in all Smathers libraries. You can also bring donations to the party. Donations are needed for “weekend backpacks,” to provide children with nutritious food when school lunches aren’t available, and “Feed a Family” boxes. Items needed for weekend backpacks include canned meat such as tuna, vienna sausage and chicken, canned pasta, beans, chili, soup and vegetables. Items needed for Feed a Family boxes include rice, cereal, canned fruit and vegetables, evaporated milk and peanut butter.
Volunteers: Sign up to decorate on Dec. 4 or for food prep and clean up on Dec. 5. Sign up
