Announcements: We welcomed our newest member, James Cusick, to his first GMC meeting. Minutes from July were approved.
Database: Kelley gave a brief update on phase 1 of the Grant tracking database. She is currently entering all projects and is in communication with Stephen when any problem/questions arise. The group decided that the database should contain as many past grants as possible. We discussed a few ideas for Phase 2 for the near future.
Mini-Grants: The publicity for the mini grant program has begun. Cathy announced the program in the July Town meeting as well as other departments who requested her presentation. She stated that she will continue her presentation to other departments as requested. The flyer will be revised and sent out electronically as well as a paper version to the library faculty and staff. The MGP flyer will be sent out with the first version of the GMC newsletter. Our next meeting, Sept. 25, 2006 will be totally dedicated to the MGP.
Flowchart: We reviewed the flow chart that Cathy presented showing the PI’s Grant application process. She will make revisions that were discussed.
