Announcements: Robert Shaddy and Barbara Oliver did not attend due to pressing assignments, and Jan Swanbeck was out of town. Minutes from our September meeting were approved. Brochure: Grace, Kelley and Tatiana are still working on the draft brochure language. They need a quote from Erich and will be contacting him for it. Once the Brochure has been approved, Barbara Hood said that the production of the brochure would only take a few weeks. Procedure Summary: Cathy stated that we needed to write up a one-page overview of the Grant seeking procedures to present to the Library Council. Cathy asked Jan Swanbeck to head up a small group, consisting of Grace, Robert and herself, to work on the summary sheet. If the group has a draft ready for the November meeting, that would be great.
Future Membership: Cathy asked Peter McKay to head up a small group, consisting of Kelley, Tatiana and himself, to work on the membership criteria. Possible topics to be considered by this small group are length of service on the Committee, division coverage, needed skill sets, how to replace chairperson, how to identify names of possible future members, etc. , Erich suggested that Kelley become the Chairperson of the group on a permanent basis. In order to speed up the process, the suggestions for membership will be sent to the group prior to our next meeting on Nov. 21, 2005. Library Council: Cathy would like to have the one page procedure, the proposal template and the brochure completed in time so that she may present them to the L.C. at the December 2005 meeting.
