Compact Disc, CD-ROM, Database, and E-Book Orders
Compact Disc - If a compact disc is a music recording or it comes with a book, it may be ordered in Aleph. For a music CD, use the "MUSICCD.MRC" template in Aleph. If the CD comes with a book, use the book template for the correct fund and on the "599" line, indicate: "Book + CD."
CD-ROM, Database, or Electronic Book - If the item is a CD-ROM, Database, or Electronic Book it probably has a license agreement or "Terms and Conditions of Use." A copy of the license or terms of use agreement is required in order to process the item. Therefore, the CM Support Unit cannot process these items. Return the item to the Selector. He/she must fill out the "New Electronic Resource Request" form found on the CM Support Unit webpage or the Acquisitions and Licensing Electronic Resources webpage. The form will be submitted to Acquisitions and Licensing for approval.
