An online set of cross-country comparative political and economic datasets is available to registered users at this Columbia University website. It is sponsored by the Harvard Center for International Development jointly with the World Bank.

The Internet African History Sourcebook is a large web site dedicated to African history and related topics. The author Paul Halsall has created a number of related history pages as well.

The Centre for the Study of African Economies makes its Working Paper Series available via the web in full text (in Adobe Acrobat .pdf format).
